Dyna Might caused an upset
Things get underway at 2.00pm with an interesting novice auction stakes, and we have Another Day Of Sun picked, but in terms of our best bet, we’re waiting patiently until the final leg of the day, a fillies’ handicap disputed over one mile four furlongs at 5.35pm.
Our trading team have Dyna Might marked down as the most likely winner of the race, and we make that a shrewd call. Ollie Pears sends out this progressive three-year-old who arrives at track in great shape. With three previous runs this year in the bank, a disappointing effort at Wolves was followed up with an improved showing at Beverley, winning over today’s trip last month.
Edging out runner-up Breakwater Bay off a massive SP, she followed that success with a second at the same venue last time, finding only race favourite American Craftsman too good, beaten by the tightest of margins.
Selection kept busy
A poor start appeared to have put a line through her chances that day, but she stuck to her task and pushed for the line when delivered. Noted staying on at the end, there was suggestions she would’ve got the job done on most other days, and the team will take plenty of confidence in defeat. The selection went off another nice price that day, and although there shouldn’t be anything like that on Monday, we expect a similar bold showing.
The 1-2 finished well out in front of the chasing pack and our ace looks to have been given every chance to go and book a return to the winner’s enclosure. The fact connections have Dyna Might out again so quickly will be a source of real encouragement to backers and the 5/4 currently being offered by Coral traders gives us something to work with.
